This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection and use of Your information when You use the App.
We use Your Personal data to provide You with the service. By using the App, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Application (referred to as "the Application" or "the App") refers to MaxCommander, the software program provided by the Developer.
Developer (referred to as either "the Developer", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to Marcin Labenski.
Device means any device that can access the App such as a computer.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the App or from the App infrastructure itself
You means the individual using the App, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is using the App, as applicable.
Personal Data
The App is a file management tool and to function it requires access to the Your files and folders, which may contain personal and/or sensitive content. However, the application only uses this access to perform operations requested by You (e.g. copying a file from one location to another, downloading a file from a server, and storing it at the given location of Your Device). The App does not process the content of files for its own needs (other than those requested by You, as indicated above), does not collect it, and does not send it over the network to the Developer.
To access remote systems, the App may ask You for credentials (e.g., username and password). These credentials are used only for the purpose for which they were provided and stored in macOS Keychain. No credentials are sent over the network back to the Developer.
For troubleshooting purposes, the App creates a log file that can store information about requested operations, filenames, folder names, and usernames (but not passwords and private keys). The log is created on Your Device and is never automatically sent to the Developer. The support team may ask You to provide a log file, but it is up to You whether to do so or not. You can also review the log file at any time since it is stored in a text format.
The personal data collected by the App is used for the purpose You gave the App access to it (e.g., credentials are used to get access to remote file servers, like FTP server, when You want to manage files stored in that server; personal data stored in the content of a file is read and used to store the content of that file during copy or download operation requested by You).
The App does not share personal data with other parties, except in situations for which the data was given to the App (e.g., credentials are sent to a file server to get access to files stored on that server).
Protecting Your personal data is important for us. The App stores collected personal data in a secure area of the macOS operating system managed by the Keychain Access app. That app uses strong encryption for storing the data and access control for granting access to read/write of the data.
You can browse, edit, and delete Your data stored by the App using the Keychain Access tool bundled with macOS.
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
